Privacy policy

Last updated October 15, 2026.

The short version: the game collects nothing about you, and neither does this website.

The game

The Long Descent does not collect, store or send any personal data. It has no analytics, no advertising and no account. Your saves and settings are kept only on your own computer.

When you play through Steam, Valve may sync your saves with Steam Cloud and record achievements and play time. That is handled by Steam under Valve's privacy policy, not by this game.

This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts, and loads nothing from other sites. Like any web host, the hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site running and secure.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email only to answer you, and we do not share it.

Children

Because nothing is collected, the game and the site collect nothing from children either.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: lawrence@cierra.net.
